When Mediation and Complaint-Handling Institution for Responsible Business Conduct receives a complaint, it is assessed whether there is sufficient documentation

Sufficient documentation may e.g. be a description of the events in question supplemented by e.g. correspondence between the parties in question, surveys, photos, original documents and video documentation. A reference to e.g. a documentary is by itself insufficient documentation.

The Institution assesses whether there is a link between the issues in question and the activities of the company.

If the complaint does not contain sufficient information to assess whether the sufficient documentation is available, the Institution may ask for further information and/or documentation. If the requested material is not forwarded, the secretariat may, after consultation with the Institution or the chairman, reject the complaint.
